  The Operational Risk Management Programs Risk Officer II is a senior subject matter expert responsible for the design, development, implementation, and execution of core operational risk program(s). This individual is a thought leader that will research, evaluate and recommend solutions for operational risk management programs and implement forward-looking systems and processes that support proactive operational risk management.

  LOCATION:

  Candidate must be located in the following location:

  Charlotte, NC - 214 N. Tryon ​Position is hybrid (3 days in office), no full remote telecommute or remote. No other locations considered.

  ​ ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  Provide guidance, subject matter expertise, and oversight on one or multiple ORM program(s) that ensure appropriate identification, assessment, monitoring, reporting, and mitigation operational risk at Truist.

  Implement the ORM Program(s), including policy, procedures, systems, training, monitoring, and validation to oversee effective execution of the Operational Risk Management Program(s) across the Corporation

  Promote operational risk awareness throughout the corporation by assisting with training activities.

  Assist in ensuring program components meet regulatory expectations and are aligned with industry best practices.

  Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders in all Business Units and second line functions

  Stay abreast of emerging issues related to Risk Management, business process automation and design and other relevant disciplines and incorporate new learning into work processes.

  Required Qualifications:

  Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  7 years of banking or related management experience.

  Possess and demonstrate strong operational risk management knowledge, leadership and decision-making skills.

  Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with multiple stakeholders, and interact effectively with all levels of management

  Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present issues, observations, and recommendations

  Adept with Microsoft Office products

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Demonstrated experience in big bank setting

  Audit experience

  Experience with new corporate operational risk programs or initiatives
