The Analyst will assist in evaluating the feasibility of investments and will support the Originations team to increase production.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSPrepare financial projectionsAssist in maintaining relationships with developers through excellent customer serviceEvaluate prospective equity investmentsAssist in preparing screening memos and engagement/commitment lettersCollaborate with Originators to maintain the production pipelineCoordinate with syndications, underwriting and asset/fund management teams, as neededAbility to analyze project's financing, development budget, construction schedule, operating expenses, debt service, market comparability and developer capacityUtilize and become and expert in the pricing and underwriting modelsGain a thorough understanding of tax laws related to LIHTC credits and become proficient in understanding Key Bank's debt offeringsDevelop and maintain extensive knowledge of real estate underwriting, Section 42 requirements, and state Qualified Allocation PlansREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS2 years of professional experience in real estate underwriting, finance, and analysisStrong analytical skills and proficiency in ExcelPrior experience with affordable housing loans or investments and knowledge of state and local housing finance programs a plusCommitment to affordable housing and community development a plusIndividual needs to be a highly motivated, self-starter who is dependable and capable of working in a productive independent fashion, as well as part of a team.Excellent oral and written communication and quantitative skills.Highly organized and detail oriented.Ability to effectively manage and administer sensitive and confidential information.Ability to work independently and prioritize workload.COMPUTER SKILLSAdvanced MS Office Proficiency, particularly Excel.EDUCATION (The following minimum level of experience is required.)The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Urban Planning or Real EstateCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITSThis position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $75,000 to $120,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
