  Summary

  The Distribution Center Specialist I will perform all functions of a Generalist and productivity and accuracy consistently meeting or surpassing Buckle standards. In addition, the Specialist 1 will specialize in one of the following two job duties.

  Now starting at $16.00/hr*

  Current hours: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

  Freight Specialist

  Manually lift, load and unload inbound or outbound freight boxes for up to 8 hours at a time and safely operate the transfer cart moving freight to processing areas.Assist in all other areas of the DC as needed.Pick To Light

  Primary responsibility will be filling pick to light system orders from inbound freight boxes approximately 8 hours per day.Maintain an acceptable inventory accuracy and volume of production on the pick-to light lineGeneral

  Cross-train in other departments as assigned by Director of Distribution.Fulfill mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of Guest service while contributing to a positive team spirit.Special projects and other duties as assigned in either distribution or online fulfillment warehouses. As determined by business need, may be required to travel from one warehouse to another during the shift.Supervisory Responsibilities

  This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

  Education and/or Experience

  High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. When required to drive a company vehicle, a valid drivers license is required and an insurable driving record. When required to operate a forklift, forklift certification is required.

  While performing the duties of this Job, the Teammate is regularly required to stand for up to 8 hours or more; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.The Teammate is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Teammate must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or more than 60 pounds. Teammate must be comfortable working at heights on a multilevel mezzanine and have the ability to climb multi-level of stairs on a daily basis. Also, regularly required to bend, twist and turn at waist. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  Work Environment

  While performing the duties of this job, the Teammate regularly works in a Distribution Center setting. The Teammate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
