Responsibilities

Position Summary:

OPERATING ROOM Nursing positions: Assesses, patient/family health problems and resources, takes a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care provided by the nursing team. Provides technical nursing care and interventions to designated patient populations. This position requires providng service to one or more age populations including an ill neonate through geriatric patient population in a manner that demonstrates an understandng of the functional/developmental age of the indivdual served. Responsible to plan, execute, and evaluate the nursing care given to patients in the Preoperative/Postoperative nursing role. Provides patient care within the prevailing state standards of practice and according to the policies of the facility. Communicates appropriate information to other team members. Helps maintain equipment, supplies, and general cleanliness of the unit. May have additional responsibilities designated by the manager, which may include but are not limited to providing patient care in other peri-operative departments, serving committees, participating in quality improvement projects.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Two years OR circulator experience required within the last five years.

Graduate of an RN School of Nursing

Current California RN License

BLS, ACLS, PALS from the American Heart Association

Preferred:

GI Circulator experience preferred

Bachelor degree in health related field preferred

Computer literacy preferred

Pay Range

$59.59 - $77.30 /hour
