　　Job Description:

　　Conduct daily maintenance activities of the UF Space Plants lab. The plant molecular biology lab which includes, not limited to, preparing media and solutions, washing glassware, autoclaving, organization, submitting orders and receiving. Position will also manage the seed stock for the lab and will have responsibilities for growing plants and producing seed. Basic computer management, file organization and record keeping. Chemical and sample inventory will need to be kept in compliance with UF guidelines. Preparing the lab for annual inspections and related paperwork. Assist in day-to-day needs of the lab including, but not limited to, managing general equipment and computer maintenance.

　　Expected Salary:

　　$18.00 - $20.00

　　Minimum Requirements:

　　Associate’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization or a high school diploma and two years of experience in a professional or laboratory environment.

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Lab experience preferred but not required.
