About Operator III - Bakery

  Overview The Production Operator III - Bakery works daily to support andcomplete production orders of medical foods while adhering to safety andquality policies. Work is varied and is done under general supervision.Duties require training and initiative to acquire more complex skillsand ability to work independently. Qualifications EDUCATION,CERTIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or Equivalentpreferred; college degree a plus. 2+ years\' experience working in acommercial bakery required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Ability tofollow work instructions, as well as Safety, Quality, and Companypolicies Ability to read, write, and speak English Ability to operatebasic production machinery, case packer, palletizer, blending, pouchsealers, forklift Ability to accurately measure, weigh or blend powder,solid, and liquid ingredients Ability to use a computer for data entryof production data Ability to visually and physically sort, count, pack,and palletize, raw materials and finished goods Ability to work aroundand with hand-held, manual, and moving equipment i.e., conveyors, casepacking, pallet jacks, and other machinery Ability to use a tape gun,date coder, box cutter, and other small tools Ability to recognizenumber sequences, lot numbers, date codes, and other data visually andaccurately Ability to visually detect, identify, and effectivelycommunicate product deviations to lead or manager Ability to stand onconcrete floors and perform repetitive motions for extended periods oftime Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 25 pounds on a regularbasis and up to 50 lbs on occasion Ability to wear all required personalprotective equipment in accordance with Quality and Safety policiesAbility to work independently with general supervision as well as workin a diverse, fast-paced, cross-functional team environment Ability tobe flexible and take on assignments as required Ability to interact wellwith other staff members and in alignment with the company\'s overallgoals Ability to have a positive, can-do attitude, strong work ethic,and be reliable and punctual Working Conditions / Physical RequirementsWORKING CONDITIONS: This position works in a food manufacturingenvironment and requires the ability to adhere to all GMP, Food Safety,workplace safety and security policies including wearing requiredpersonal protective equipment, as well hair net, beard net, etc. asrequired. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The position requires the ability toperform repetitive motions with hands and fingers, walk, stand onconcrete floors, regularly lift to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift,push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities Accurately measure,weigh, or blend powder, solid, and liquid ingredients Combinesingredients into batches Complete production orders on time, zeroquality defects, and correct quantities Operate simple production,packaging, blending, or related equipment Label, count, sort, palletizeand pack raw ingredients and finished goods Blends and pouches runningsemi-automatic equipment Maintain clean and organized work area at alltimes Completes housekeeping and sanitation duties, including CIP.Accurately completes daily production data collection forms and performsdata entry Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset to improveprocedures and processes Ability to maintain company confidential dataOther duties as assigned
