About Operations Specialist

  The Operations Specialist will be responsible for performing multiple administrative functions of the Pennsylvania and Delaware Business Unit. They will be responsible for at the facility management at Hauser Nature Center, facility management, scheduling and coordinating logistics for special events and/or meetings held at Hauser, records management, vehicle management, procurement, telecommunications, and reception. Supporting volunteer activities of the Volunteer & Member Engagement Manager will be another responsibility. In addition, the Specialist will perform Information Systems, Human Resources, and operations administrative tasks, including processing forms and preparing documents. They will use available systems and resources to maintain, track, and analyze data, and to produce and review reports related to Hauser Nature Center usage, preserve visits, and community engagement. Applying established processes and practices to improve effectiveness and to document program procedures for reference by staff is a part of this position.

  The Operations Specialist will coordinate activities with multiple variables, set realistic deadlines and manage the timeline. They will handle inquiries about business unit activities and assist in the development of program materials and correspondence. Working cooperatively with PADE staff, providing information necessary to make decisions and solve problems will also occur. Additionally, the Operations Specialist will communicate on behalf of the supervisor with internal and external sources, including staff, donors, vendors, and businesses to coordinate arrangements, convey information, and ensure successful execution of operations effectiveness. This position requires working flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed and some travel. The work will be performed in a general office setting and outdoor settings with some exposure to disagreeable elements; work requires only minor physical exertion and/or physical strain.

  WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  SALARY INFORMATION

  The starting pay range for a candidate selected for this position is generally within the range of $53,000 - $55,000 for annual base salary. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. Where a successful candidate's actual pay will fall within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including, for example, the candidate's location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. Please note countries outside the USA would have a different pay range in the local currency based on the local labor market, and not tied to USA pay or ranges. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment.
