Operations Specialist Location: Charlotte, NC/Hybrid Duration: 10 months Description: Job Description: This position will be on an operations team within the Client Exchange Traded Derivatives organization that supports US Listed Option product for client Professional Clearing Corporation. The team is responsible for all operational components of the option trade life cycle, from the moment after execution through settlement. Some of the job functions include trade date and trade date + 1 position and trade break reporting / reconciliations, trade allocations, exercise instruction, corporate action processing, exercise and assignment balancing, option position transfers, cash reconciliations of trades, Clearinghouse collateralization, and option / cash settlement. This candidate will primarily work with operations teams in Charlotte, NC and Jacksonville, FL, but will have opportunity to liaise with brokers, clients, exchanges, CCPs, compliance, front office, Technology and LOB personnel. Responsibilities: "Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintains accuracy of client collateral and settlement utilizing internal and external systems for comparison Performs research and conducts moderately complex analyses using established techniques; including transactions that require special handling and/or exception handling Explores methods to enhance processes, further reduce risks and boost client experience Partners with Clearing, Funding and Account Management teams to research exceptions Creates reports and metrics related to client collateral and settlement status Escalates potential risks and exposures to manager in a timely manner May assist in ad-hoc projects, new processes or initiatives requiring coordination among subject matter experts representing multiple product areas or functions" Required Skills: Problem Solving Strategic Thinking Teamwork Microsoft Excel Customer Focus Collaborating Time Management Active Listening Organization Relationship Building Multitasking Additional Desired Candidate Qualities: The ideal fit for this role is a candidate who possesses a high level of intellectual curiosity and desire to take on process ownership, the ability to network within neighboring teams to develop process understanding.
