We are seeking an Operations Research (OR) Analyst to support Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) efforts in Dayton, Ohio. This work focuses on assessments of emerging technologies for a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) customer, in a dynamic environment with state-of-the-art simulation technologies, simulation integration experts, and Subject Matter Experts (SME). Duties include development, planning and execution of scenarios, development and documentation of analysis tools, and pre- and post-run analysis for architecture performance assessment.Essential Job Functions:Perform studies and methodology development projects utilizing the latest analytic performance assessment technology, risk analysis, and modeling/simulation techniques.Utilize professional knowledge, tools, and methods of experimental design and methods; as well as techniques of operations research based upon mathematics, statistics, and organizational sciences.Collaborate with team members and customer to identify study requirements and develop relevant technical approaches.Collect, process, and analyze complex datasets provided by DoD customers to extract meaningful insights.Develop models and perform analysis on sensor, tracker, communication, and weapon systems for mission-level simulations using AFSIM, with the goal of discovering useful information, informing conclusions, and supporting decision-making.Utilize statistical methods, modeling techniques, and optimization algorithms to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies; document uncertainties in simulation results.Collaborate with team members and customer on improving custom tools, including designing efficient data representations for large datasets, testing accurate interactions across interdependent algorithms, and automating production analysis pipelines.Work both individually with minimal guidance and with a broader engineering team.Ensure application of MS&A best practices for all analysis efforts.Some intermittent short-term travel may be required.Requirements:Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.At least a Bachelor degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field, and two years of related experience.Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: ability to attain an Interim Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance by your start date and can ultimately obtain a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.Knowledge of modeling, simulation, and analysis environments (live, virtual, and/or constructive).Familiarity with modern military systems, both foreign and domestic.Possession of excellent English oral and written communication skills.Ability to work well in team environments.Ability to travel, as required.Desired:MS in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related technical discipline.Previous work with RADAR, SAR, or other sensor modelling.Experience with one or more of the following frameworks: AFSIM, ITASE, Suppressor, DIADS, ESAMS, IMOM, STK, NGTS or similar M&S tools.Experience with a variety of COTS and GOTS M&S and data science tools, including Matlab, C++, Perl, or Python to manipulate data between different formats and perform post-processing of data.Ability to apply Operational Analysis principles, theories, and concepts to ex
