Job Overview
The Operations Manager will lead all aspects of the production operation in a 2-Shift Operation including personnel, safety, cost, productivity, and on-time delivery to customers for the assigned operation.
A Day In The Life
Maintain safe working environment consistent with OSHA and Hubbell Corporate requirements
Originate and measure key indicators for the assigned operation (safety, quality, delivery, cost)
Coordinate overall manufacturing operations
Work closely with Production Control and Quality to complete orders on-time
Assist in development of cost saving measures through improvement processes (LEAN, KAIZEN, etc)
Support inventory goals; assist in controlling obsolete and excess inventory
Drive accountability for critical measures of safety, quality, delivery, and production
Maintain positive employee relations in a union environment
Drive accountability of Production Leadership and Hourly workforce
What will help you thrive in this role?
Bachelors Degree
Strong Manufacturing Leadership experience; preferably in job shop/ETO environment
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and how to drive change
Knowledge of assembly/fabrication/machinery desirable
Excellent problem solving skills, communication and training skills.
Strong SAP skills would be helpful
