Description:
The Operations Manager manages and directs supply chain and daily operation activities including shipping, transport, warehousing, and distribution. Plans, schedules and reviews workload and manpower to ensure targets are met cost-effectively while maintaining minimal service failures.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Participates in the recruiting, hiring and training of staff
Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of staff.
Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, and transportation
Keep track of quality, quantity, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
Arrange warehouse, plan routes and process shipments
Resolve any arising problems or complaints involving Hub operations
Supervise, coach and train Hub workforce
Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
Comply with laws, regulations and safety regulations
Skills & Qualifications:
Proven working experience as a Logistics Manager
Record of successful distribution and logistics management
Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
Proficient in standard logistics software and Microsoft Office software
Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain preferred
3-5 years of logistics experience
