Summary
This position will perform general administrative duties for the department itis assigned to. The individual will perform routine clerical functions and maysupport more than one department simultaneously.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares or reports; sorts and files documentationAssists management in forecasting sales demands to maximize productionefficienciesPrepare and issue daily production schedules to minimize inventory levelswhile maximizing product availability and customer satisfactionManages the location and life of all molds and works with management on annualmold purchasesPrepares and issues purchase orders and change noticesReviews purchase order claims and contractsAssists accounting department in verifying pricing and receipts of purchasedproductsContacts suppliers on adjustments, incorrect materials/supplies,delivery delays, etc.Schedules inbound delivery dates and negotiate freight payment termsIssues purchase orders and receive product into LawsonDetermines optimal manufacturing and purchasing volumes based on historicalusage and current level of stockMaintains historical records by filing documentsOrganizes and maintains file systems, and files correspondence and otherrecordsMaintains group calendar for employee vacation schedulesConducts safety orientations with visitorsOrders and maintains supplies, and arranges for equipment maintenanceProvides support for assigned department(s)Develops and grows internal and external customer relationships for thepurpose of improving company's growthConducts research, and compiles and types statistical reportsSome A/P A/R filing and file maintenanceOther duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may beassigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Requirements/Education/Experience
At least a High School Diploma (Bachelor's degree preferred) orequivalent and a minimum of 1-year office experience or equivalent combinationof education and experienceKnowledge of basic office equipment (phone, fax, copier, 10-key)Strong Microsoft Office skillsMust have excellent Microsoft Excel skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to communicate with employees, peers, supervisors, vendors,and customer is an effective mannerMust be detail oriented, organized, and have problem-solving and reasoningskillsAbility to perform advanced math calculationsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oralinstructionsAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concretevariables with little or no structureInternal and external customer service orientedAbility to work independently

Compensation
