Our Organization and Mission:
The Florida Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco licenses the manufacture, distribution, sale, and service of alcoholic beverage and tobacco products in Florida, including: receipt and processing of license applications; collection and auditing of taxes and fees paid by licensees; and enforcement of the laws and regulation of the alcoholic beverage and tobacco industries, pursuant to Chapters 210, 561-565, 567-569, Florida Statutes. The Division's three bureaus - Licensing, Auditing and Enforcement - comprise a team of approximately 330 personnel fulfilling the regulatory obligations of the Division throughout the state.
The Work You Will Do:
This is a Career Service position assigned to the Bureau of Licensing, Tallahassee Office. The Operations Analyst II position works independently and with others performing professional work involving action affecting alcoholic beverage, cigarette, and tobacco licenses, permits, and registrations. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
Assists the Administrator of the Annual Quota Beverage License Drawing.
Assist with the developing and posting the language to announce the available quota license each year and the drawing dates.
Process entry forms received for the annual quota beverage license drawing each year, including notifications to entrants regarding deficient or denial entry forms.
Maintains statistical and informational reports throughout each quota license drawing.
Assist with processing of quota drawing entry form and action requests by the supervisor to augment other staff within office.
Corresponding and communicating with quota entrants regarding omissions or deficiencies in license applications.
Provide guidance and instruction in the capture of data and the review and reconciliations of information and reports for accuracy and completeness.
Provides analyses to determine efficiencies of data systems and to give direction to ABT-Licensing staff regarding system functions.
Coordinates with staff to complete or adjust actions on licenses that are reflected as incomplete or incorrect on the status reports.
Performs other duties as requested.

Minimum Requirements:
Must have one (1) year of customer service experience or one (1) years of post-high school education.
Must have experience in using Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
Two (2) years of professional administrative experience; or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for the required experience.
