Become a member of our Commissioning, Operational Readiness and Ramp-up Excellence (CORE) team, a global industry leader, and continue developing your talents while diversifying your experience.
As the successful candidate, you will:
Offer tailor-made services so that each operations readiness program helps clients meet their economic objectives;
Work actively and jointly with clients’ operation teams on all operational readiness projects;
Develop a structured and realistic operational readiness plan, in conjunction with all departments and all organization levels, allowing its implementation management using connected and high-performance tools;
Hold workshops with the clients’ teams to develop a business philosophy and operation strategy;
Support and advise clients on structuring the budget of their project;
Assist with the project risk evaluation and management processes;
Plan start up activities for our clients’ new facilities;
Manage the execution of the operations readiness plan in conjunction with the client teams and in accordance with best industry practices;
Use class leading OR systems and tools, as well as industry specific expertise to execute the OR scope of work;
Actively participate in ramp up activities within multidisciplinary teams;
Support operations beyond the project phase through performance improvement activities, such as reliability and productivity optimization;
Provide digital technologies and solutions in close collaboration with Hatch’s Digital Group to improve our clients’ business;
Contribute to the development of the Operational Readiness group at the regional and global levels; and
Participate in the Operational Readiness group’s business development activities.
You bring to the role:
A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience;
8–12 years of industrial experience (in operations or as a consultant);
Skills in project and team management;
Good technical knowledge in your field of expertise;
Excellent analytical and summarizing skills;
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English;
The ability to influence and negotiate with others to obtain the best results for the benefit of our clients’ projects and organizations;
Sensitivity to the clients’ needs and the ability to establish sustainable, open, and honest relationships;
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office tools; and
Willingness to travel across the country and internationally for work.
The following is considered an asset:
Cross-functional experience and exposure to a variety of roles and responsibilities within operations (site management, production, maintenance, health, safety, environment and community, warehouse and inventory management, etc.);
Consulting experience in the mining and metals, energy, or infrastructure sectors;
Experience in managing or executing operational readiness projects;
Experience in managing or executing large-scale projects; and
Proven business development skills.
