*At a Glance! *Lower Columbia College is accepting applications for multiple Catering Team Members. This position is an "on call" catering position and will be used based on the Fork & Flame catering needs on campus.
This position is categorized as a Food Service Worker, under State of Washington Class Specification. This position is a temporary part-time position not to exceed 1050 hours in a consecutive 12-month period. In person work is required.

Examples of Duties & Responsibilities
Assists the Fork & Flame kitchen and service staff as needed to maintain the highest level of food quality, presentation, and timing to optimize guests dining experiencePerforming basic food preparation tasks, which include washing, peeling, and cutting fruit and vegetables, seasoning and slicing meats, and preparing sauces and saladsSets up and breaks down buffet stations for catering events on campus as per the manager on dutyLoads and unloads plates, silverware, and other service equipmentServes courses, clears dishware, and ensures that guests dining needs are taken care ofKeeps serving stations restocked throughout the eventCleans large and small trays and tray stands to be ready for serviceMaintains guest tables and serving stations according to client specifications and proceduresAccomplishes all job duties while adhering to all safety guidelines and practices throughout the shiftAnswering guests' catering-related questions during events and addressing all complaintsReports any unsafe condition, unsafe act, accidents and/or injuries to the manager on dutyCompletes closing duties at the end of each eventPerform other duties as assignedThis description is not intended and should not be construed to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, effort, work conditions, and benefits associated with the job.
