　　Job Description

　　This internship program will be very unique and students will gain valuable experience, which will help them to understand more about the hospitality industry.

　　Our Recreation internship program is designed to provide interns with a “hands on” experience Responsibilities will include creating and facilitating activities, maintaining the pool area, overseeing the water slide and towel hut, cabana rentals, running sports tournaments, organizing holiday events, facilitating corporate teambuilding, and much more.

　　Responsibilities

　　Report to work on time an in uniform when scheduled

　　Enthusiastically greet and converse with guests

　　Maintain clear communication with essential departments

　　Actively participate in the assurance of the safety and fun of all programs

　　Assist with general Resort duties as assigned

　　Treat everyone, managers, associates and guests with courtesy and respect at all times

　　Assist with routine cleaning of all recreation areas and equipment (sweeping, mopping, picking up, organizing and keeping track of inventory)

　　Cross utilize in all areas of recreation when scheduled to do so

　　Complete daily checklists in their entirety

　　Properly complete recreation agreements as needed using a hose, rinse off the deck space daily

　　Monitor the cleanliness of the deck space

　　Organize the lounge chairs in an orderly fashion

　　Maintain the lounge chairs with weekly cleaning

　　Maintain the equipment used to clean the deck

　　Update the details of the weather board (sunrise, sunset, high tide, low tide, etc)

　　Respectfully assist guests

　　Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the information huts

　　Responsible for setting the umbrellas up

　　Collect deck litter and remove full trash bins

　　Appropriately organize the towels in the huts as needed

　　Qualifications

　　Able to lift at least 50 pounds.

　　At least 6 months experience in service related position.

　　Able to become certified in basic CPR, AED & First Aid.

　　Comfortable to work in various weather conditions: extreme heat, cold, rain, sun, etc.

　　Must be comfortable in and around pools.

　　Must be earning college credit for internship.

　　Availability from May-August 2024.
