Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the 92 Force Support Squadron, NAF Accounting Office, Fairchild AFB, WA. Performs office automation duties in support of the Resource Management section. Uses word processing son ware to produce a variety of documents. This is a Regular Part time position; guaranteed 20-34 hours per week; depending on the needs of the facility. Responsibilities Performs office automation duties in support of the Resource Management section. Uses word processing son ware to produce a variety of documents. Transmits and receives documents and messages electronically using a personal computer or workstation that is networked or linked to other computers or workstations throughout the work areas or organization. Monitors surprise cash counts of all NAF activities quarterly. Types correspondence, reports, forms, messages, memoranda, statistical or tabular material, where spacing arrangements are complicated, directly in final form without a rough draft. Arranges the material in the form necessitated by the nature of the subject matter, the purpose for which it is to be used, the format required by regulations, style manuals or policy. Updates several databases to include vehicle reporting. Will be the focal point for all Fairchild AFB Private Organizations. Performs a variety of general office duties such :is receiving telephone calls and visitors, routing and filing correspondence, and maintaining files. Performs purchase duties using methods for a variety of standard items from authorized sources that are well advertised and well-known. Creates and maintains official files and other reference material IA W established procedures. Responsible for Life of the Fund (LOF) files. Serves as Resource Protection Monitor, assists Vehicle Control Officer and performs some logistics duties for the squadron. Performs general accounting work in order to maintain a combination of journals and ledgers. Examines and verifies a variety or documents to determine their mathematical correctness and completeness of information. Documents may include but not limited to cash receipts, cash register tapes, checks, credit card receipts, purchase orders, vouchers, payrolls. property records, which may be complicated by discounts and partial payments. Must show progressively responsible experience in the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit, custody, and other processing of cash items when this includes ( I) direct handling of cash items and (2) use of cash accountability control methods. Successful completion of a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) is required. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
