Sodexo has an opportunity as an Obsolescence Manager
This is a remote role with the preferred candidate located in the Eastern Standard Time Zone
Coordinate cross-functional teams to identify the level of risk for each end of life or support situation and evaluate the effort/cost/schedule for the resolution of each situation, then report to the Sr Leadership to support the decision-making process. Build, define and manage a lifecycle management program, including the necessary tools and processes improvements that ensure obsolescence compliance across all IT disciplines including infrastructure and applications as part of overall lifecycle management.
The successful candidate will:
Build, define and manage a comprehensive and sustainable information technology obsolescence and lifecycle management program
Collect, analyse, action and present information required to understand and make decisions about technology obsolescence.
Guide program personnel in developing obsolescence mitigation plans that align with the overall obsolescence strategy.
Collaborate with other IT team members to proactively establish technical direction, roadmaps (priority and timing), KPI’s, and to plan for and manage solution obsolescence.

Basic understanding of Information Technology disciplines: Infrastructure, Applications, Data, etc.
Understanding of technology versioning: operating systems, software, middleware, database management systems, etc.
Familiarity with Information Technology Asset Management systems, Configuration Management Database systems, and similar tools/technologies.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office / 365 and basic reporting tools.
Exceptional organizational skills, the ability to manage the details of digging into, tracking, and communicating the technical and business aspects of various issues, as well as being able to communicate the process at a higher level to internal and sometimes external customers.
Task/schedule and budget management
At least 5 years as an IT Operations leader with working knowledge of IT assets including hardware, software, applications, networks, data center, on-site and off-site services, etc.
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and drive cross-functional teams.
Experience leading diverse geographically separated technical teams in the development, design, and governance of common systems infrastructures, platforms, products, security tools and associated applications.
Ability to perform detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation to understand problems.
Experience leading teams where you are directly or indirectly responsible for affecting the work along with having influence across functional organizations.
Solid understanding of Risk and Opportunity Management
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; collaborates effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
A self-starter; this individual must be adaptable, persuasive, tenacious and perceptive and be able to execute a well-developed plan.
