　　Job Summary

　　The Nutrition and Food Service Assistant is accountable for providing quality resident meals, snacks.

　　Assists with meal preparation, assembly of meals, service to the resident and cleanup.

　　Provides exceptional care and service to, residents, guests and Household at all times.

　　Supports the hospital’s goal of excellence in patient care in a Christian, caring environment by facilitating positive employee relations and supporting department goals.

　　Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital’s Catholic heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship for others, stewardship.

　　Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and the Ethical and Religious Directives for healthcare.

　　Education and/or Experience

　　One year food service related experience and/or training preferred.

　　Licensure/Certification/Registration

　　Certified as a Feeding Assistant within 1 year – (Full time employees only)

　　Work Schedule

　　PRN - part-time as needed; varied shifts day/night

　　Every other weekend and holiday

　　Pay

　　The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

　　$ 17.00 - $20.50 per hour
