JOB REQUIREMENTS: Duties 7C is a 30-bed acute inpatient unit providing acomprehensive, interdisciplinary approach in the care of medical andsurgical patients. Post-operative surgical patients compriseapproximately 50% of the unit population and can come from specialtiessuch as: General Surgery, Orthopedics, Vascular, GI, GU, Neuro, andmore. Effective communication, teamwork, and multidisciplinary care isessential to provide high level care and produce effective outcomeswithin this patient population. Major duties: Personal patient careincluding bathing, feeding, grooming, and mobilizing with demonstrationof skills which reflect the needs of the older adult. Appropriatesupport duties i.e., individualized patient care, proper implementationof policies and procedures, use of good body mechanics, and assist inapplication and operation of specialized functional equipment. Supportduties for proper environmental maintenance such as identification ofpotential safety hazards. Support duties for treatment services such asspecimen collection. Nursing Assistant functions under the delegation ofthe Registered Nurse. Treatment duties such as colostomy irrigation,assistance with bowel routine, replacement of gastrostomy tubes,suctioning of tracheotomies, positioning for postural drainage, andsterile dressing changes on simple wounds Work Schedules: Full-time,part-time, & Intermittent on all shifts Recruitment or RelocationIncentives have been approved for the full-time and part-time vacancies,up to \$10,000.
