POSITION SUMMARY & HIGHLIGHTS:
We are looking to hire a Nurse Manager to support our ICU and Labor Delivery Unit at our Level IV Trauma Center in Ontario, Oregon! Proudly serving communities in southwestern Idaho and eastern Oregon, our Ontario location boasts a 6-bed ICU and a 10-bed Labor and Delivery unit. Our dedicated colleagues, with a wealth of experience and commitment to community service, staff both units. Moreover, both units have undergone recent renovations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Provides support and maintains oversight of ICU and Labor & Delivery units, including but not limited to the following activities: financial management, performance assessment, quality improvement initiatives, and day to day operations.
Identifies and addresses the needs of various customer groups, ensuring the alignment of departmental efforts with service line objectives.
Collaborates in policy and procedure development, participates in multidisciplinary business planning, and contributes to program growth under the guidance of the Associate CNO.
Accountable for 24/7 supervision of day-to-day operations in the ICU and Labor and Delivery departments.
Implements strategic plans, policies, and action plans to meet organizational goals while adhering to Health System's Guiding Behaviors and Caring Standards.
Executes established plans within assigned functional areas through thorough analysis, measurement, monitoring, reporting, and resource optimization.
Manages team performance using Total Quality, Human Resources, and financialexpertise to achieve established performance levels.
Cultivates positive working relationships with customers and suppliers, fostering a collaborative environment.
Contributes to the development of organizational strategic and tactical plans in accordance with established planning processes.
Acts as a liaison between Senior Management, Medical Staff, and the ICU and Labor and Delivery units.
Ensures strict compliance with all relevant SARMC policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Colleague must have an Oregon RN license
Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; master's degree in nursing preferred.
Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
Other certifications may be required as identified in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
5 years nursing experience required; 2 years of supervisory or charge experience preferred.
ICU or Labor & Delivery experience preferred
Acute Care experience preferred
