Position Summary:
The Nurse Educator will develop and implement education and professional development services and programs for health system employees.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse)
Minimum of 3 years clinical nursing experience and/or equivalent health teaching experience
Minimum of 1 year of education/training in administrative, management, and leadership principles and practices
Preferred: Master’s Degree in Nursing
Preferred: Instructor certification in any discipline of American Heath Association (AHA), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Emergency Nurses Pediatric Course (ENPC), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), S.T.A.B.L.E. and TeamSTEPPS
Preferred: Certification in Nursing Professional Development and or area of specialty
Preferred: 1 year of experience as a clinical nurse educator or staff development role
Essential Job Functions:
Develops, organizes, promotes, implements, evaluates, and revises nursing professional development activities including, orientation, precepting, transition to practice program, simulations, competency validation, computer-based learning, and continuing education courses throughout the organization.
Serves as a nurse planner for Bozeman Health's Montana Nurses Association Approved Provider Continuing Nursing Education Unit according to MNA and ANCC criteria.
Promotes and supports evidence-based practice; serves as a program administrator of Lippincott Nursing Procedures.

Ability to work varied shifts.
Computer applications, MS Office, EMR, internet applications and standard office equipment.

Self-directed, completes assignments accurately, thoroughly and with minimal oversight.
Detail oriented, organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
Strong emotional intelligence, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
