About NP/PA: Periop, Twin Falls (Part-Time)

  Overview

St. Luke's Health System is seeking a part-time Advanced Practice Provider to join our highly collegial and patient focused perioperative clinic. We are looking for a candidate to help us in our strategy to be the community’s trusted partner in providing exceptional patient-centered care.

Our specialized perioperative clinic utilizes hospitalists and APPs to assess perioperative risk, optimize management of chronic medical problems perioperatively, and perform appropriate risk stratification when needed before surgery. Our patients receive extensive education about what complications could occur and what they can do to help minimize their risk. Our approach has reduced perioperative complications, same-day cancellations of surgery, and has helped streamline anesthesia care on the day of surgery.

The Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) is responsible for providing high-quality health-care through the diagnosis and treatment of patients with a variety of medical conditions. The APP works under the supervision of a designated physician, and in collaboration with a team of other providers and staff.

This position is at our St. Luke’s Twin Falls perioperative clinic. Opportunity exists for an APP to work a hybrid role in both the perioperative clinic and with the inpatient hospitalist team.

  JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

Graduation from an accredited school with a minimum of a Master’s Degree and certification, as required by the specialty, as well as eligibility to obtain licensure from Idaho to practice as a Physician Assistant.

Must obtain and maintain unrestricted prescriptive authority, DEA, and controlled substance licenses.

Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension/expression.

Ability to manage a fast-paced, busy clinical environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes.

Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with standards for performance improvement and organizational values (e.g., efficiency & financial responsibility, safety, partnership & service, teamwork, compassion, integrity, and trust & respect).
