　　Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a "US Person" (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).

　　Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

　　Lead efforts involving continuous improvement of existing qualified products.

　　Support initiatives for qualification/validation of replacement, supplemental, or modified products.

　　Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

　　Working with Supplier Quality as needed to address issues that are technical in nature to improve manufacturability while maintaining or improving the reliability of the product

　　Work with procurement personnel to qualify new materials that may support existing product replacement or provide a second sourcing solution

　　Support updating engineering process documents as necessary, related to project engineering

　　Support generation and implementation of documents that are required to support new or evolving industry specifications.

　　Support driving design and process related solutions to resolve recurring nonconformances, both pre-delivery and post-delivery

　　Multi-task several projects simultaneously to ensure timely, effective, and within budget completion of assigned projects.

　　Communicate with customers and suppliers as needed to support continuous improvement projects.

　　Perform other duties as assigned by Project Engineering Manager.

　　Education and Experience:

　　BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline

　　3+ years engineering experience that involved design related decision making while collaborating with other functional areas

　　Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

　　Ability to apply engineering fundamentals to product improvement/ development/ design.

　　Highly organized.

　　Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals.

　　Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment; able to change direction, remain flexible and respond.

　　Strong problem-solving skills.

　　Excellent verbal & written communication skills.

　　A “can-do” attitude.

　　Proficient in MS Office Suite and Internet.

　　Professional appearance and working demeanor
