Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is looking for a NOC Technician.Summary:As a NOC Technician, you will be a crucial part of our 24/7 operations, monitoring, and maintaining the stability and performance of our network and IT infrastructure. You will play a key role in incident detection, resolution, and escalation, ensuring the continuous availability and reliability of our systems.Responsibilities:
24/7 Monitoring: Monitor network and system performance around the clock, utilizing various network monitoring tools to identify and respond to incidents promptly
Incident Response: Quickly and accurately respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and escalate to higher-level support or relevant teams as needed
Proactive Maintenance: Conduct routine checks and preventive maintenance to identify potential issues before they impact system performance
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of procedures, configurations, and incident responses
Collaboration: Work closely with other NOC Technicians, IT teams, and external vendors to resolve issues and improve overall system reliability
Escalation Management: Effectively escalate incidents to higher levels of support, ensuring proper communication and handoff to the appropriate teams
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of NOC processes and procedures, recommending enhancements to optimize system performance and incident response
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network ) are a plus
Proven experience as a NOC Technician, preferably in a 24/7 support environment
Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and systems (routers, switches, firewalls)
Familiarity with network monitoring tools and incident management systems
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve issues efficiently
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to work in a rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
