WCHS is looking for a newscast director to take the helm of our nightly newscasts! We are passionate about local journalism. We believe that everyone on our team plays a role in our success. We work hard, but we know when to have fun.

　　The perfect candidate will have experience with iNews and Ross Overdrive. They will be a team player that won't mind working across departments to ensure success. 　　Responsibilities: Perform any production duties as assigned including: Direct and TD any assigned newscasts and productions Edit video using Avid Media Composer Shoot & edit and shoot general assignment stories, lives shots and natural sound packages Shoot video for newscast using Panasonic or Sony cameras Create graphics for newscast Supervise production crew on a daily basis Maintain production studio and control room Perform other tasks related to the position as assigned, which may include website contribution Requirements:

　　Experience Directing and TDing newscasts preferred, but the right entry-level candidate may be considered Knowledge of production standards and equipment Must have valid driver's license, and a good driving record Video photography and non-linear editing experience preferred, but the right entry-level candidate may be considered Must be able to lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis Experience with Avid products a plus Ability to clearly give direction to crew while under pressure Typing and good spelling skills necessary Ability to read and write, college degree preferred Must be able to lift & position 40-pound lighting instruments
