The NPI Manager works with the Program Management, Business Development, Engineering, Operations and Purchasing teams to manage and lead new product introduction across all manufacturing sites, ensuring they are executed on time and on budget.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate internal and external resources for the execution of NPI launches
Ensure that all NPI launches are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
Communicate launch status to customers with Business Development and Programs support
Work with customers to obtain necessary technical data and hold customers accountable on actions and approvals
Define the NPI project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
Ensure resource availability and allocation
Develop detailed NPI project plans to monitor and track progress
Manage changes to the NPI project scope, NPI project schedule and NPI project costs using appropriate verification techniques
Measure NPI project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Report and escalate to management as needed
Perform risk management with supporting departments to minimize NPI project risks
Delegate NPI project tasks as required
Track NPI project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
Lead regular NPI cadence meetings with applicable departments to review overall status of launches and elevate as necessary
Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
Use and continually develop leadership skills
Performs other duties as required by Manager.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Management, or related discipline
Minimum 5 years Project Management experience, preferred
Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project
Willing to travel up to 25%
