About Neurology NCS Technician

  The Neurology NCS (Nerve Conduction Studies) position is responsible for performing electrodiagnostic procedures for use in the diagnosis of neuromuscular disorders.

  *This position will work 4 days per week, 10 hour shifts.

  Essential Functions

  Electrode application and maintenance in adherence with accepted methods for routine NCS.

  Proper placement of stimulating electrode recording.

  Recognition of clinically significant events.

  Technical troubleshooting and artifact identification and elimination.

  NCS waveform recognition and identification.

  Ability to perform critical thinking during NCS, actively synthesize real time data for optimal study results.

  Qualifications

  Required High School Diploma or equivalent or equivalent

  Preferred Associate's Degree

  2 years of relevant experience patient experience, preferably in neurodiagnostics or related area preferred

  CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association, or, ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required

  CRT-Nerve Conduction Technologist, Certified (CNCT) - ABEM American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine 3 Yrs required Or

  CRT-Nerve Conduction Technologist, Registered (RNCT) - AAET American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologist 3 Yrs required
