Network Security Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network security infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong expertise in Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Cisco Firepower, Azure, and Zscaler technologies. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the security and integrity of our network infrastructure.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and cloud infrastructures
Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Cisco Firepower devices
Ensure the secure deployment and management of applications in Azure
Administer, optimize, and monitor Zscaler ZIA & ZPA implementations
Responsible for deployment management and operation of network access control/Cisco ISE
Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure software and network design
Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on both network and cloud resources
Provide expertise on network security best practices and trends
Develop security documentation, including policies, procedures, and training materials
Respond to and mitigate security incidents
Participate in ongoing training and certification to stay current with the latest technologies and best practices
Work with appropriate business partners when rolling out new systems or system changes in order to address issues and fix bugs. Perform necessary testing and analysis to ensure system stability before transferring support responsibility to the support desk
Work across Unified Communications, Route, Switch, Wireless and Network Security platforms
Translate business requirements into network designs and solutions
Collaborate with a group of network engineers delivering new solutions to support manufacturing networking
Partner with equipment manufactures and internal customers to test and certify IoT solutions
Contribute to the research and design of future generation network roadmaps
Provide Tier 3 network engineering escalation support
Design and deliver network infrastructure to support new and existing initiatives
Translate technical knowledge into support procedures
Work alongside Site Reliability Engineers to automate manual activities
Collaborate with network hardware and services providers
Create and maintain network documentation and reports
Communicate with internal customers and present solutions in a non-technical manner
Troubleshoot malfunctions of network hardware and software applications
Investigate, analyze, recommend and install enhancements and operating procedures that regulate or enhance network performance
Stay current with disaster recovery procedures. Be available to assist in recovery of major systems in the event of a disaster
Document project in Atlassian Confluence including troubleshooting information for technical support
Manage trouble tickets when escalated from support group
Monitor computer networks using network management and analysis products
Administer security by way of access control for all network appliances. Maintain user lists and security logs, and follows up on security violations

Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience
Undergraduate degree in computer science, information technology, or related technical curriculum, or equivalent practical work experience (work experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security, with at least 3 years focusing on cloud environments
Proven experience with Cisco Firepower, Azure, Zscaler ZIA, and ZPA
Certifications: CCNP Security or higher, Azure (AZ-500 or equivalent), and Zscaler (ZCCA-IA, ZCCA-PA)
Strong knowledge of network protocols, VPNs, and firewall management
Familiarity with vulnerability testing tools and methodologies
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
