We are seeking a mission-focused Network Administrator II to support and contribute to our government customer's success in Tampa, Florida!
Join our team at the forefront of advancing communication systems for the Defense Intelligence Enterprise. This role is part of a dynamic program focused on Engineering and Operations, driving continuous improvements in the design, transition, operations, and service of LAN, WAN, and Unified Communication services across classified and unclassified networks.
As a Tier 2 Network Administrator, you'll be challenged with enterprise support problems where you will coordinate with other NOC and Operational staff to address break/fix, minor configuration updates, schedule add moves and changes, and technology upgrades and installs for network routers and switches. As an experienced Network team member, you will coordinate ticket acceptance and resolutions as well as support the development of technical resolution reports for critical outages in the network.
Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities:
Perform system patching and IAVA patches to network routers and switches, as well as IOS and software upgrades.Conduct approved minor network changes (VLAN, ACL, and port assignment).Perform switch and router installs/upgrades to ensure smooth operations of the enterprise.Draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for network operations.Troubleshoot system failures and accessibility problems within the network to our services.Support site survey and engineering design data calls.Support new/enhanced network implementation, installation, and technical refresh projects within a site or locale.Works indepedently with some supervision.In remote locations, must function as independent engineering, maintenance, and network problem solver with minimal or intermittent input from other tiers and locations.Provide detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation to understand issues, while employing creativity and ingenuity for new technical solutions applicable across the enterprise - drawing heavily on prior experience.Perform network ticket resolution.Supports network ticket closure across Network OPS staff to include:Completes initial categorization of service requests (type, sub-type, location device, priority, etc.)Use administrative access to the network to provision new switches, routers, VLANs, and Crypto.Use administrative access to network components to research errors, incidents, and problems to perform ticket analysis and identify potential problems.Route service requests to the appropriate organization required for incident resolution.Perform root cause analyses.Complete problem resolutions associated with incident ticket(s).May configure, deploy, manage, and maintain UC monitoring systems used by the technicians to ensure availability and overall performance of system and services.Required Experience, Education, Skills and Technologies:
Years of experience with one of the following:
High School/GED plus nine (9) years of relevant experience
Associate degree plus seven (7) years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of relevant experience
Master's degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience
Doctorate degree plus one (1) year of relevant experience.
DOD 8140 certification(s): IAT II
