  Position Purpose

  The primary function of this position is to assist Vibe Credit Union in living out its mission, "To make a positive difference in the financial lives of our members," by delivering outstanding service to both internal and external members. In addition, monitors and maintains our computer system network. Serves as a technical support contact for all host system peripherals and interfaces. Provides support for computerized departmental systems and related projects. Provides backup for all daily, month-end, quarter-end and periodic data processing relating to the Credit Union's internal host system.

  Essential Duties

  Meets all established service goals.

  Possess adequate product knowledge as measured by the annual product knowledge certification assessment .

  Primary duties include maintaining the integrity, reliability and security of our computer networks at all our branches

  Establishes networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.

  Maximizes network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades.

  Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access.

  Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

  Reporting network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information; managing projects.

  Install, configure maintain various network hardware and services.

  Performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.

  Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security.

  Partner with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.

  Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.

  Administer and maintain servers, routers, switches, firewalls, software deployment, security updates and patches, VPN gateways, intrusion detection systems and file servers.

  Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.

  Monitor networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.

  Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.

  Notifies supervisor of system errors, especially application or equipment stoppages

  Communicates with supervisor and affected co-workers on the progress toward established objectives or with resolving technical issues

  Performs preventive maintenance on computers and printers

  Assists with Office 365 suite

  Communicate and ensure that end users are kept informed of all system updates. Update online scripts to reflect any resulting changes in systems, departmental procedure, or policies.

  Assist with the set up and deploy new PCs, laptops, iPads, printers and any other required network peripheral devices.

  Responsible for assigned technical aspects of conversions, file expansions and interfaces.

  Create special reports for management, off the host system, when requested.

  Remain knowledgeable of operations and the computer systems within all departments to provide comprehensive support.

  Work effectively with all IT staff to ensure all departmental functions are completed, including covering shifts when there is an absence, assisting with tasks, and sharing knowledge of all IS department functions to ensure departmental cross training.

  Must be willing to maintain a work schedule determined by the demographic needs of the branch location and be willing to adapt to the changing needs of the branch and credit union schedule as necessary.

  Follows policy and procedures related to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP), and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) daily to ensure compliance with current regulations.

  Ensures that work areas are clean, secure and well maintained

  Works non-standard hours with limited advance notice

  Travels within the metro Detroit area

  Works independently, yet is capable of quickly transitioning to a team-oriented environment

  Maintains positive demeanor with the focus on end-user satisfaction

  Maintains confidentiality of systems, member data and credit union information by adhering to required security procedures

  Perform any other assignments as needed.

  Education and/or Experience

  A degree in an education/technology field or 5 years experience in a similar position.

  A+ Certification/Network+ Certification or related.

  Preferred Qualifications

  3-5 years of experience in a Network Administrator or related role.

  Cisco CCNA or equivalent knowledge

  Experience with Cisco Meraki Experience with Network Management tools including ManageEngine

  Financial Services industry experience

  MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert)

  Skills/Abilities

  Effective communication skills.

  Strong analytical skills.

  Strong knowledge of Software-Defined Network (SDWAN), Wireless Local Area Networks (WLANS), Local and Wide Area networks

  Strong knowledge of routers, hubs, Firewalls and network concepts

  Prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.

  Knowledge of information security and systems administration

  Experience patching Network Infrastructure

  Advanced networking troubleshooting: Routing protocols, DHCP servers, desk drops

  Able to follow and create detailed documentation including network diagrams

  Able to create process documentation for other team members to use

  Experience utilizing Cisco Umbrella security suite/tools.

  Ability to travel within Metro Detroit area to Vibe locations

  Knowledge of Office 365

  Maintain positive relationship with IT team and business units
