Naval Executive Project Assistant

Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Naval Executive Project Analyst to join our team at SURFMEPP in Portsmouth, Va.
The Surface Maintenance Engineering, Planning, Program (SURFMEPP) maintains, monitors, and refines Class-wide and Individual-Ship Maintenance Plans for all non-nuclear surface ships to ensure material readiness for the projected service life, develop life-cycle strategies to address system upgrades, and fully implement the Class Maintenance Plan into each surface ship's maintenance schedule and availability planning process. SURFMEPP is headquartered at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assists with SURFMEPP Command special projects
Minimum of 5 years of related professional experience in program support of a DoD/Navy program
Validate perceived ship maintenance issues by conducting data driven analysis, presenting results in various forms such as Pareto charts, Venn diagrams, histograms, pie charts
Harvest and analyze data from various Navy ship maintenance databases
Demonstrates ability to follow direction and work semi-independently or within a team
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Minimum of 5 years of related professional experience in program support of a DoD/Navy program or Ships Maintenance
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2016 applications (Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word) and other database management tools and software, particularly MS Excel 2016 and and MS PowerPoint 2016
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of US Navy HM&E and Combat Systems operations and maintenance practices and terminology a plus
Experience with any Navy Ship Maintenance and Navy Maintenance and logistics databases [i.e. Surface Maintenance Data Improvement Initiative (SMDII), Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) applications Navy Maintenance Database (NMD) and Validate, Screen and Broker (VSB), Model Based Product Support (MBPS), Maintenance & Material Management System - Open Architectural Retrieval System (3M-OARS), Organizational Maintenance Management System – Next Generation (OMS-NG), Corrosion Control Information Management System (CCIMS), Maintenance and Ship Work Planning (M&SWP)] a plus
Able to develop and present outcomes both in writing and verbally
Ability to self-start and work semi-independently on initiated efforts
Familiarity with statistical analysis methodology
Strong attention to detail
Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, and works well in a team environment
Additional Duties:
Provides technical support to the SURFMEPP Command Executive Office
Assists with execution of SURFMEPP Command’s internal and external communication engagements to include development of briefing presentations
Assists with SURFMEPP Command’s special projects
Assists with the monitoring of Command performance metrics

Must have a current/active Secret Security ClearancePhysical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual
Travel Requirements:
