Would you like to join our growing MySQL HeatWave Service team as we expand the delivery of MySQL offerings on Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure?

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is the industry's broadest and most integrated public cloud and helps organizations increase business agility, lower costs, and reduce IT complexity. MySQL HeatWave Service (MHS) is built, operated, and supported by the Oracle staff responsible for the MySQL products. MHS offers secure, stable, and performant MySQL services for those requiring an enterprise-class experience. The MySQL HeatWave Service team is responsible for developing, deploying, and operating the cloud service framework powering Oracle’s MySQL HeatWave Service and its unique HeatWave cluster, MySQL’s in-memory, query accelerator. We are a worldwide team of problem-solvers who are driven to deliver MySQL at the cloud scale to meet the real-world needs of our customers. You will partner with Control Plane, Data Plane, Console, and SRE colleagues to provide a secure, integrated, seamless, User Experience to customers managing their MySQL HeatWave systems.

  Build and operate modern, cloud-native, fault-tolerant, and scalable cloud services

  Participate in the design and implementation of service control planes, data planes, and service APIs

  Participate in the entire software lifecycle - development, testing, CI/CD, operations and on-call activities

  Work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented agile development environment

  Contribute to operational activities such as writing runbooks, troubleshooting, operations automation, and instrumentation for metrics and events

  Work with the Product Manager and development team to achieve program goals

  Mentor junior team members

  Contribute to a healthy, supportive, and inclusive team culture

  Work with geographically distributed teams and contribute to the success of your team and other related teams

  Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

  Canada: Hiring Range from $66,700 to $145,000 CAD per annum

  Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

  Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  This job requires proficiency in the English language. Oracle is a global company with operations in dozens of countries around the world and our teams, including the team this position is part of, are comprised of individuals located in various jurisdictions. As is required of employees in all jobs at Oracle in North America, candidates for this position are required to understand, and communicate, in English so that in the course of performing their work, they can interact with teammates in other locations who are not fluent in the French language.
