MULTI PROPERTY SALES COORDINATOR at Marriott International Costa Smeralda Hotels
(Hotel Cala di Volpe, Cervo Hotel)
Entry-level, seasonal position, reporting to the Director of Sales.
We are looking for an energetic, customer service professional with excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, have a passion for service and hospitality. The ideal candidate has had a previous hôtellerie experience, is a willing team player, comfortable with computer systems and willing to accept assignments on as need basis, in order to promote teamwork.
Essential Functions
Assist in qualifying leads and sending group proposals
Entering booking in OPERA S&C, MARSHA and all Marriott Systems.
Completion of banquet event orders (BEO) and responding to client(s) either personally, or by directing to the appropriate salesperson(s)
Convert enquires; both directly with clients and working closely with the sales team
Ensure a prompt turnaround in responses to clients,
Manage and lead the enquiry process, to include liaison with both clients and hotels worldwide
Answer customer queries in a prompt and professional manner
Preparing and sending contracts to clients
Accountability for any sales reports
Solicit from and confirm with clients all information pertaining to the event they are planning and organize and distribute all information to departments through memos, banquet event orders and directives
Conduct client site inspections of the property
Coordinate with other departments within the hotel to ensure distribution of important information
Obtain and record group histories
Attend all sales meetings
Provide administrative duties as required by Director of Sales
Regular sales office reception coverage
Assist with preparation and follow-up of sales trips
Proactively look for new opportunities and cross-sell at all times
Track enquiries and revenues in line with the processes in place
Other duties as assigned
Educational and Professional Requirements
Completed undergraduate degree from an accredited University
Proactive, organized and customer service-oriented
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent writing skills
Experience creating professional sales presentations
Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple projects/deadlines
Excellent proficiency in PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Excel is essential
Fluent in Italian, English and another language, preferably French or German
Excellent grooming standards
