Overview BigBear.ai is seeking an experienced MuleSoft Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and engineering MuleSoft applications and APIs, particularly within private cloud environments like AWS. A remote schedule will initially be implemented through the end of April and will increase to hybrid, with 3 days onsite in Chantilly, VA as the project matures What you will do Design and develop robust MuleSoft applications and APIs in a private cloud environment, particularly within AWS Gov Work on critical projects that involve handling and developing applications for classified data, requiring on-site presence Integrate MuleSoft applications with various AWS services, ensuring seamless functionality and performance Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable and efficient MuleSoft solutions Participate in the full development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support. Implement best practices for MuleSoft engineering, ensuring high-quality and secure applications Stay updated with the latest MuleSoft features and AWS services, continually enhancing application capabilities. What you need to have Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field with 2+ years of experience, or; Master's Degree and 0 - 2+ years of experience, or; in lieu of Bachelor’s degree, 8+ additional years of relevant experience Clearance: able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance Minimum of 2 years of experience in MuleSoft engineering Strong experience with designing and developing applications and APIs using MuleSoft in a cloud environment, preferably AWS Demonstrated ability to work on projects requiring on-site presence for handling classified data Proficient using DataWeave and Mulesoft Components to ETL data Experience deploying in various ways including Cloudhub, Hybrid, Anypoint platform private cloud, Anypoint runtime fabric, etc Proficiency in AWS services and their integration with MuleSoft applications Solid understanding of Java and Java frameworks like Spring is a plus Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strong sense of ownership.
