The MRI Supervisor with initiative and independent judgment, performs professional and technical duties for MRI Department. Maintains a program which assures the patient that quality is an integral part of all procedures performed and is responsible for the overall management in the MRI Department. This is a working supervisor position.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
· Resolves customer service issues in a timely and efficient manner. Communicates issues to Radiology Manager or Director.
· Provides imaging procedures to all patients, regardless of age, race, or sex.
· Conducts employee appraisals for probationary and annual review. Evaluations are submitted within the required timeframe.
· Develop, implement, and manage policies and procedures pertaining to safe practices within the MRI environment.
· Ensure the safety program of the organization by maintaining records, training staff, screening patients and access control, all in accordance with the latest ACR recommended guidelines and the guidelines of any affiliated accrediting body.
· The MRI Safety Officer is responsible for annual MRI Technologist safety competency assessments.
· The MRI Safety Officer will enforce safety laws, accreditation standards and standards of practice to ensure maintenance of organizational compliance.
· Review current industry safety trends and routinely communicate such trends to the MRI Medical Director and the front-line MRI Technologist
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
Minimum qualifications :
· Associate’s Degree in healthcare-related discipline
· Five years of MRI technologist experience
· MRSO certification or able to obtain within 12 months of employment
· Must be certified by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(MR)
· Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred qualifications:
· Two years of MRI supervisory experience
· Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare-related discipline
