*Position Summary: *The Worksite Monitor position is temporary part time summer position, with the possibility to return for future programs. This position is under the Workforce Development subdivision and requires a detail-oriented employee who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment due to our strict Department of Youth & Community Development deadlines. You will report to the Program Coordinator and they will provide support and weekly check-ins for you and your peers in on-site environments; to ensure that the daily operations of Summer Youth Employment Program run efficiently & smoothly. Monitors act as the liaisons for worksite supervisors, the participants assigned, and the Program Coordinator. This title performs bi-weekly visits to ensure worksites remain compliant with Department of Youth & Community Development, check in with participant, collect their payroll, and maintain organized files (digital and physical).
Responsibilities: *Under the direct supervision of the Program Coordinator, the Worksite Monitor’s responsibilities include the following:*
Attend Department of Youth & Community Development and Children's Aid Society meetings and trainings as required.
Serve as worksite supervisor and participant liaison to effectively resolve concerns regarding payroll, placement and/or other program policies and procedures.
Weekly on-site assessments of worksites (at most 10 site locations) to ensure the facility remains hazard-free, remains compliant with DYCD’s Worksite Manual, completes weekly assessments, and transcribes the details into the YEPS system.
Provide weekly reminders to worksite supervisors and participants of weekly payroll deadlines.
Collect, process, and file participant payroll.
Troubleshoot any calls and emails using YEPS and SYEP knowledge as well as connect with the appropriate person when requested
Assist in rectifying any errors identified by administrative staff during internal audits.
Support team members throughout the different phases of SYEP including but not limited to; enrollment, orientation, placement, payroll, and data management
Maintain up-to-date notes to ensure we can recall what may have occurred with youth, parents, and supervisors.
Navigate and utilize the YEPS system daily; for SYEP inquiries, daily SYEP functions, payroll, and data entry.
Assist in participant and worksite information as it relates to Divisional work readiness programs including SYEP and YEPS databases.
*Minimum Qualifications: *
At least 2 years experience in the youth development field, work readiness, and/ or Non-Profit.
Currently enrolled in a College or University.
*Key Competencies: *
Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment, have good verbal and written communication skills, and be detail-oriented.
Must be familiar with Microsoft Excel and Word.
