The roleis a fixed-term 3-year position working across industry, academia andhealthcare environments to support collaborative PET imaging projects betweenSiemens Healthineers, King’s College London (KCL), Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS FT(GSTT) and the National PET imaging Platform (NPIP).
Your tasks andresponsibilities:
You will collaborate on PET imaging projects across industry, academia,and healthcare environments.
You will work in a multi-disciplinary setting to advance total body PETtechnology, exploring new clinical applications and enhancing existing work.
You will be building strong connections with PET R&D HQ inKnoxville, TN, and other Siemens Healthineers PET scientists in the NPIPnetwork
You will be responsible for publishing results in peer-reviewedjournals, contributing to conferences, and invention disclosures whennecessary.
Your qualifications andexperience:
First degree in physical sciences/mathematics/computerscience/electronic engineering or similar
5+ years’ post graduate experience in an academic, industry orhealthcare setting
Background in PET physics, image reconstruction and image processing
Experience with scientific programming languages (Python, Matlab, C++,etc.)
Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively in amulti-disciplinary environment
