Description
SAIC seeks a Principal Modeling and Simulation Analyst/Engineer to develop and analyze scenarios that tie in all domains of warfare under a Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) for key mission areas. Build and run AFSIM models in a full LVC environment. Develop API plug-ins to integrate with other simulations in the digital thread. Develop the Modeling & Simulation (M&S) architecture in an integrated digital environment (IDE) that includes connectivity to the Digital System Model – developed with Modeling Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes in System Modeling Language (SysML).
The successful candidate plans and executes modeling and simulation systems development projects. Possesses and applies knowledge about simulation methods for analysis of complex human-machine systems and training. Designs and develops simulation systems and modeling of simulation objects. Duties may include performing analysis applying appropriate scientific and engineering processes and modeling techniques to the life-cycle development of systems; performing analysis and trade-off studies related to operational issues, and reviewing test plans to ensure MOEs address operational requirements using modeling and simulation tools and techniques; reviewing plans for system integration, operation, and maintenance and assisting in the development of training for operational personnel.
SCOPE:
Developing the M&S Architecture in the IDE that connects the Architecture Authoritative Source of Truth (ASoT) and the M&S parameters and results.
Generating analytical modeling solutions to assess enterprise performance, identify technology gaps, creating technology roadmaps, developing requirements and specifying the operational benefits of current and future concepts based on customer approved scenarios
Supporting requirements development, system verification, and concept of operations (CONOPS) development as well as working with system and mission analysts to ensure additional modeling, simulation, analysis capabilities meet operational mission requirements
Identifying needs and opportunities for independent assessment and improvement of the enterprise and/or system
Developing modeling solutions for each phase of the find, fix, target, track, engage, and assess chain using sensor, effects, and communications technologies
Developing multi-domain operations scenarios in AFSIM
Developing algorithms, writing simulations, and analyzing key performance parameters associated with space and ground sensor system design
Developing and briefing data packages that provide analysis results to inform the government decision-makers
