About the Role:
This role is focused on leading and overseeing program activities related to Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) development and management.
Location: Hybrid or On site: Sterling Heights, MI
This role requires up to 80% on-site presence due to the nature of the work.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical direction to MBSE Systems and Software Engineers, focusing on SysML model execution using the Cameo Enterprise Architecture tool.Collaborate with program office personnel on proposal development, scopes of work, program plans, statements of work, and work breakdown structures, emphasizing the role of MBSE in the program.Define and execute all aspects of System Engineering using MBSE, including requirements development and review, system architecture, opportunity and risk management, trade studies, technical performance measures, testing, interface control, cost control, weight management, technical program review preparation, system integration, verification, and validation.Prepare plans encompassing MBSE staged elements, taking ownership and responsibility.Support SEM, SEIT Lead, and Chief Engineer in defining and reviewing the technical product solution within MBSE.Facilitate the development of MBSE capabilities across programs, including structuring and staging MBSE models for reuse in future programs, IRADs, or DE initiatives.Guide program teams in requirement decomposition, functional decomposition, interface development, and proper Data Architecture Model Libraries (DAML) and Domain Specific Data Models (DSDM) creation.Build and maintain MBSE-based metrics for TPMs, trades, risks, and DDMs.Provide metrics on the maturation of the program's MBSE environment in compliance with contract requirements and GCIA implementation.Stage MBSE for program CDRLs consumption into the SysML model, supporting the digitization of the engineering environment.Support the Digital Engineering (DE) initiative, integrating tools like Teamcenter, Cameo, MADe, Capital Harness, SLICWave for a unified engineering product environment.Develop Style Guides for each MBSE area.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Discipline. Similar technical degrees considered if experience aligns with job function.Minimum of 9 years related engineering experience.Strong Vehicle System engineering experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Additional Information:
