NY1485048Mobility Specialist.Full time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm for 50 Forward Mohawk Valley in Utica, NY.

　　50 Forward Mohawk Valley is a non-profit organization, whose mission is to provide programs and services to individuals 50+, empowering them to live healthy and vibrant lives. 50 Forward MV is the sponsor agency for the AmeriCorps Seniors Program, Volunteer Resource Center, Way 2 Go Herkimer and Oneida County, and a partner in the Livable Communities Oneida County initiative.

　　The Mobility Specialist will work with local public transit and planning agencies as well as human service agencies to coordinate transportation services to improve overall mobility for the general public, with an emphasis on older adults, low-income persons and/or persons with disabilities.

　　The Mobility Specialist will be committed to achieving the following results:

　　Coordinate volunteer transportation programs of 50 Forward Mohawk Valley including Non-Emergency Medical, member transport, and Call Center/Transportation Options.

　　Work as a team with transportation volunteers and volunteer department staff.

　　Develop a system of outreach to socially isolated older adults and disabled older adults to educate and assist with access to transportation services.

　　Develop a an outreach program for current transportation services and mobility options through public speaking, and attending community outreach events.

　　Develop and direct the design, production and distribution of specific marketing, program and educational materials, including materials for web pages, Maintain transportation options.

　　Maintain vehicle maintenance records/coordinate regular maintenance and repairs.

　　Perform data collection and database management.

　　Submit monthly and quarterly data reports as needed.

　　Participate in a variety of transportation projects related to the older adult population including attending meetings and trainings as appropriate.

　　Cultivate multi-agency partnerships to assess transportation services, gaps in services and to advocate for effective and accessible transportation options.

　　Responsible for any other duties as assigned by the Service Director or the Executive Director.

　　Qualifications:

　　Associates Degree preferred.Excellent Communication & Customer Service skills.Database management, including proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Valid & Clean NYS Driver's License.Ability to attend offsite, local meetings as needed.Highly motivated. Able to work independently and as part of a team.Salary $36,000
