About (Milwaukee) Alarm Installer (NC)

Description

Qualifications: Candidates who have electrical and construction experience, including hand and power tool experience will be preferred. Individuals must be willing to work in attics and outdoors, but the majority of the work will be performed indoors. This person will cover about an hour's radius of Milwaukee, WI.

Day-to-day duties:

They will receive training on and performing the following:

Installation of command panels and programming of Burglar Alarms, CCTV (IP Analog), DVRs, and Access Control Systems for residential customers.

Installing window breaks, door units, and smoke detectors.

Troubleshooting signal issues to ensure the alarm functions properly if needed.

Perform daily hands-on field interaction with customers at the site level and some smaller customer care levels.

Test and verify signals for equipment

Train customers on the use of the equipment and how to connect to the devices and answer all questions including ensuring that they have no additional need (equipment, etc.).

Completing necessary customer paperwork for each job.

Cost ALL PARTS utilized for each job before closing out the job with the dispatch center.

Maintaining accurate truck inventory of ADT products.

Providing top-quality customer service.

Achieve 90% Goal Attainment for completed installations and zero “go-backs”.

Additional Skills Qualifications

Must have Great Communication skills. This is very important along with being reliable and possessing an adaptive personality. This person should have stellar interpersonal skills, along with the ability to think quickly on their feet, read non-verbal cues from the home's residents, and have a solution-oriented, customer-centric attitude. It's important to give the customer confidence that their issue will be resolved.

Tools Needed/PPE Gear:

6-foot ladder (they can get a Little Giant that folds up if they drive a sedan), screwdrivers but preferably an electric drill, wire cutters, and hand sheetrock saw. (This may take them some time to build up, but they need to understand the expectation)

Their Own Vehicle:

FAQ: What radius are they traveling to?

They are going to try and keep them within a 60-90 min radius

FAQ: Is there mileage etc.?

ADT only reimburses for mileage on the rare occasion that they must go over 40 miles from one location to another. Once out of training, they will be able to reimburse $100 per week for gas (Submit receipts)

Yes, the schedule can vary from Mon-Fri or Tue - Sat.

FAQ: How long is training?

Depends on how quickly the person picks up on the skill and when they get their license. Typically, it's around 3-5 weeks depending on the individual's learning and performance.

FAQ: Do they get to expense a ladder/tools?

Candidates must be willing to purchase a ladder and basic hand and power tools. The Little Giant ladder is a foldable option for smaller vehicles. Tools and the ladder are required after training is completed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
