About Migration Instructional Designer

Job Description

Responsible for creating engaging learning experiences by collaborating with subject matter experts to identify training needs, applying instructional design theories and methods, and developing comprehensive course materials, often utilizing multimedia tools, to deliver effective training programs across various platforms.

Design and develop engaging learning materials such as eLearning modules, presentations, videos, interactive activities, and assessments.

Use core instructional design principles and theories to maximize learning.

Conduct thorough assessments to identify learning gaps and training requirements within an organization.

Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of course content.

Select and leverage appropriate learning management systems (LMS) and authoring tools to create interactive learning experiences.

Review and revise course materials to maintain consistency and quality standards.

Monitor learner progress, gather feedback, and make necessary adjustments to optimize learning outcomes.

Qualifications

A degree in instructional design, education, or a related field preferred

Familiarity with Camtasia is strongly preferred.

Familiarity with GIMP (photo editing), eLearning Authoring tools, and other learning authoring tools is preferred.

Proficiency in course development software

Ability to use instructional materials and resources effectively

Strong understanding of instructional design principles and learning theories

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Content writing and editing abilities

Project management skills to meet deadlines

Ability to analyze data and interpret learner feedback

Technical skills in multimedia development

Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Four years adult education experience (as teacher or curriculum developer).

Responsible for creating, developing, and implementing effective learning experiences and instructional materials. Their role is to ensure that training programs and educational content are designed in a way that maximizes learner engagement and knowledge retention.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $70,600 to $141,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
