Our client, a highly regarded and growing Alternative Investment firm in the Twin Cities, is seeking a Middle Office Trade Operations Associate to join their firm. This position will focus on private equity credit funds and report to the VP of Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing trade settlement, interacting with counterparties, overseeing the monthly remittance process across the credit platform, handling monthly financing administration with multiple investment banks, and facilitating new transaction closings and financing line setup and closings securitizations.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accounting or Finance, at least 3 years of experience in trade settlement (with a preference for fixed income experience), strong attention to detail and organizational skills, and the ability to work with large, complex datasets. Additionally, the candidate must be inquisitive, a self-starter, and comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment. Responsibilities:
Prepare and reconcile the remittance information for credit funds, including separately managed accounts
Conduct monthly cash tie-outs, data validations, and liaise with IT/data to automate/enhance processes
Work with investor reporting on validation procedures and data enhancement
Manage transaction closings and securitizations
Conduct monthly financing rolls for the credit funds, including securities, swaps, and securitization tie-outs, and load all information into the internal SQL database
Provide the fund administrator/fund accounting with supporting schedules for trial balance tie-out
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance, or equivalent business experience
3-5 years of relevant experience
Self-starter comfortable operating in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with evolving roles and responsibilities
Strong attention to detail
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong preference for candidates with relevant Fixed Income trade Settlement experience, accounting, and operations experience
Preference for candidates with SQL knowledge
