  About the Role:

  In this role, you will provide leadership to store managers and associates and is responsible for the overall performance of a group of stores including sales, service, operations, culture, and financial performance. Partner with associates to create and sustain strong teamwork and a memorable customer experience.

  This role will be responsible for leading an emerging market and opening new branches.

  Responsible for sales, service, operational, and financial performance for a group of stores in a region.

  Implement sales and services practices that maximize profitability through the use of marketing and promotional programs.

  Responsible for talent management which includes assessment of associate skills and creation of development plans designed to retain high talent.

  Responsible for performance management including hiring, coaching, counseling and termination of associates.

  Approvals of deviations to policy/procedure outside of the store manager’s authority.

  Partner with store managers and associates to create and sustain strong teamwork and a unique and memorable customer experience.

  Responsible for visiting stores on a regular basis.Review store performance on a regular basis and provide positive feedback.Provide mentoring, training and other resources to managers and associates.

  Responsible for promoting community involvement.Takes an active role in community.Participates in business development opportunities.

  Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.

  Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.

  Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.

  May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

  Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words.

  Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate.

  May perform other duties as assigned.

  About You:

  H.S. Diploma/GED

  Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience

  More than 10 years of progressive responsibility within a financial organization required.

  More than 10 years of supervisory and leadership experience or commensurate skills to manage and motivate associates required.

  Advanced ability to manage, coach, motivate and develop others.Experience with managing managers is preferred.

  Knowledge of retail banking policies, procedures, practices and documentation, loans, commercial loans, treasury products, and other products and services in the financial industry.

  Extensive customer service skills both internally and externally, as well as problem solving skills.

  Advanced level of interpersonal skills (written, verbal and listening) required.Must have proven communication, public relations, and motivation skills.

  Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the bank.

  Demonstrate strong community involvement (typically holds positions in community organizations).

  Occasional travel.

  Work Style:

  Umpqua Bank offers a Flexible Workplace Program and this opportunity comes with the Flex Office work style which is working in office from a designated company location three days weekly with flexibility to work remotely up to two days weekly.

  Our Benefits:

  We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $111,626.00 to $159,465.00, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
