JOB REQUIREMENTS: Mid-Level Molecular Biology Patent Associate orAgent - San Diego, Washington DC, Boston, or Madison Foley & Lardner LLPis seeking a patent associate or agent with 4-5 years of patentpreparation and prosecution experience to join the firm\'s pre-eminent,national Intellectual Property Department\'s Chemical, Biotechnology andPharmaceutical Practice Group in one of the following offices: SanDiego; Washington, DC; Boston; or Madison. Qualified candidate must holda PhD in Molecular Biology or a related field and must have strongpatent prosecution skills. The candidate preferably has experiencedrafting and prosecuting domestic and international patent applicationsand preparing patent opinions specifically in molecular biology, orsimilar technology. Experience preparing responses to Office Actionsissued by the USPTO required. Ideal candidate will have immediatelytransferable skills, strong legal writing and research skills, excellentwritten and oral communication skills, top academics and law firmexperience. To be considered, attorney and agent candidates must havestrong academic background and be registered to practice before thePatent Office. Attorney candidates also must hold a JD from anABA-approved law school and must be in good standing and an activemember of the bar of the state in which the candidate is admitted topractice.
