Description:
The Sensory Panel Assistant supports the Sensory Technician and Panel Leaders with the preparation and presentation of samples for trained sensory panel sessions. Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8-2 (24 hours per week) PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Pre-Panel: • Set-up sensory tasting room • Set required appliances, prepare products and sensory references, label serving dishes according to instructions • Provide IT support by launching panel sessions if required During Panel: • Continue preparing/cooking products to be tasted according to preparation plan, dispense in individual serving dishes, and serve to panelists Post-Panel • Clear dishes, prepare for cleaning, and store or dispose of product as required JOB QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Knowledge): • High School degree required • Basic software knowledge: Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Microsoft PowerPoint is a plus • Good computer skills • Strong organizational skills • Able to work well in a team environment • Flexible work hours, as required by the business • A collaborative attitude. Enjoys working with, learning from, and sharing knowledge with others SUPERVISION RECEIVED: A proactive independent person who is able to complete tasks with minimal supervision. Creative and innovative with a sense of urgency and passion. There is also the opportunity to work closely with other members of the team for guidance. There will be formal training sessions set up for all newcomers to Nestlé as well as specific courses required as an R&D employee. The supervisor will set up a training plan, and it is the responsibility of the individual to execute the plan. SUPERVISION GIVEN: This individual does not have any direct reports FINANCIAL/STRATEGIC IMPACT: This position is in support and service of Nestle’s Frozen & Chilled categories: Meals, Pizza & Snacks, Dough and Vegetarian Meal Solutions. This includes the R&D Nestlé Global environment and Nestlé USA brands.
