A Brief Overview
The Risk Adjustment Manager will lead the risk adjustment program for accountable care populations and contracts. This role will develop the risk adjustment program strategic roadmap, execute on milestones, monitor performance and outcome metrics, and lead performance improvement efforts to achieve program goals. The Risk Adjustment Manager will be responsible for managing and developing direct reports, collaborating with key stakeholders, and vendor management.

What you will do
Develop and lead the execution of the strategic workplan to effectively achieve program goals in partnership with physician and operational accountable care leadership.
Drive sustained, measurable improvements in the risk adjustment program across the accountable care population and the broader Stanford Health Care clinical enterprise.
Communicate team performance and outcomes measures to key stakeholders.
Analyze opportunities for programmatic improvement by evaluating effectiveness activities within the program processes.
Serve as content expert on CMS regulations and HCC risk adjustment reimbursement methodology; Interprets, recommends, and communicates operational changes to meet requirements.
Manage relationships with vendors and health plans related to the accountable care population’s risk adjustment and quality programs.
Oversee and advise the implementation of risk adjustment analytics platforms and dashboards.
Develop and foster relationships with key stakeholders within the risk adjustment process (i.e. Revenue Cycle, Operations, Finance, etc.).
Serve as a primary resource for data reporting, data analysis, and data interpretation.
Train, coach, and mentor team on performance improvement skills and knowledge; consistently transfer skills.
Identify, create, and drive educational program needs with providers and operations to support the risk adjustment program.
Education Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a work-related field/discipline from an accredited college or universityMaster’s degree preferredExperience Qualifications
Five plus (5+) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experienceRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels and in situations requiring instructing, persuading, negotiating, conflict resolution, consulting and advising as well as to prepare clear, comprehensive written and oral reports and materials.
Knowledge of methods of data collection, manipulation, interpretation, and presentation of information
Top-notch data analysis, presentation skills, problem solving, attention to detail and accuracy, operations, project management, interviewing, consulting, and team-facilitation expertise is assumed.
Strong quantitative skills (advanced Excel, Access,) as well as comfort with advanced features of Word and PowerPoint
Incumbents will possess high personal energy, the ability to energize team members, strong, positive interpersonal and leadership skills, and ability to work comfortably with staff who have various levels of education and expertise (physicians through high-school graduate) and understand their work patterns.
Demonstrated success in independently planning and managing multiple projects and reevaluating priorities in a self-directed manner and meeting challenging deadlines.
Ability to work effectively both as a team player and leader.
Ability to mediate and resolve complex issues independently.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Strong knowledge of medical billing/coding.
Knowledge of Medicare Risk Adjustment methodology and best practices approaches to successfully managing a program is preferred

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $66.46 - $88.05 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
