Position: Catering Sales Manager
Job Code: 56205 FLSA Classification: Exempt-OEM
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Solicitation of new accounts; maintains and strengthens relationships with existing accounts. Work with all Banquet and Catering clients with a positive outcome resulting in high levels of customer satisfaction and profitability.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Travel to meet with or call individual corporate clients by telephone to solicit annual, week day and weekend
Interview, train, resolve problems and provide open communication to newly hired catering associates when
Tour and inspect banquet and meeting space daily, as well as event set ups to ensure they meet customer requirements. Also reporting any necessary repairs for correction.
Meet and greet clients, conduct property tours, and promote facilities and Answers client inquiries.
Interact with clients to determine needs and direct staff accordingly. Respond to telephone and walk-in inquiries of potential guests.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Extensive knowledge of Food and Beverage etiquette, guest relations and service standards. Strong interpersonal skills to assess client needs, negotiate pricing and provide overall guest satisfaction. Effectively deal with internal and external guests, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy. Presents a professional appearance and manner. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Always maintain a professional appearance and manner. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, proper preparation and presentation of food and beverage items. Ability to prepare signage for catering functions.
