Badger Meter is hiringa Manufacturing Engineering Intern. This position will be exposed to avariety of manufacturing engineering disciplines such as electronics,electro-mechanical assembly, machining, and industrial engineering. TheManufacturing Engineering Intern will support a variety of peopleincluding Operators, Cell Techs, Supervisors, and Engineers. Thisposition will be working hands-on in a shop environment where internswill support continuous improvement activities such as documentingprocess flow, implementing 5S, making process improvements, andinvestigating new technologies. Essential Job Duties: Design fixturesand support production to maintain on time delivery and high qualityMust be willing to work equally on the manufacturing floor and in officeUtilize root cause analysis and lean tools to reduce waste Participatein New Product Development team meetings and tasks Conduct and createtime studies, process maps, and capacity plans to help improveefficiencies Work with Manufacturing Engineers to implement solutions toimprove yield on production line Additional projects or tasks asassigned Qualifications: Currently pursuing a Bachelor\'s degree inEngineering or related field Intermediate computer/technical skills inMicrosoft Suite, emphasis on Word and Excel Basic experience with CADBasic skills with Statistics, and lean principles Natural curiosity forproblem solving and ability to quickly learn new technologies An EqualOpportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
